Ms Namgay Wangmo is a seasoned project management and development professional with over 14 years of experience designing and implementing donor-funded programmes in education, skills development, and community engagement. She has led and coordinated national initiatives in close collaboration with international partners such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, HRDK Korea, TAFE Australia, and other bilateral and multilateral agencies.

She holds a Master’s degree in Community Development from Murdoch University, Australia, and a Master’s degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines, along with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Political Science. Her professional expertise includes strategic programme and human resource planning, financial and budget oversight, policy coordination, data and records management, and stakeholder engagement.
Ms Wangmo previously served as Senior Program Officer with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, where she led World Bank–funded youth skills programmes, coordinated national TVET advocacy campaigns, and served as a focal officer for the 12th Five-Year Plan. She also brings hands-on experience in psychosocial support and inclusive education through her work as an educator in Australia.
She is fluent in Dzongkha and English and is proficient in digital tools for programme management, communication, and public advocacy.
