Mr. Ugyen Thinlay completed his MBA from Webster University, St. Louis, MO., United States. He received his under graduation from Sherubtse College when it was affiliated to Delhi University. He has undergone short term trainings from three weeks to six months in Bhutan and Singapore related to human resource management and administration and for Hansard in Canberra, Australia.
Mr. Ugyen has taught in the business department at the Royal Thimphu College as a senior lecturer. He taught varied subjects such as international business, business ethics, negotiations, research, marketing, analytical skills and tourism. He also worked as an assistant documentation officer at the National Assembly Secretariat, RGOB, as an assistant manager at Bhutan Power Corporation Limited in the Human Resource and Administration Department and as a SEO consultant at Domain.com, Inc at Boulder City, NV, United States. Further, he worked as a professional licensed senior tour guide in Bhutan.
He strongly believes that it is always better to refer to works of well renowned researchers and scholars from world renowned universities with adequate or generous budget because research is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Due to work related pressures, he jointly published a paper with Dr. Aaditya Pradhan on ‘Financial Performance Analysis of Bank of Bhutan Limited using Regression Analysis’ in the International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (IJTSRD); and another paper with Dr. Sourav Basu and Tshering Yangchen on ‘Impact of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) Practices on Norbuling Rigter College (NRC) Staff Job Satisfaction’ in the American Journal of Social and Humanitarian Research along These two papers, according to him, is a stepping stone to the world of research for him. The joint publication of these two papers, according to Ugyen, is also an example of the indispensability of collaboration. Co teaching of a module at NRC is another good practice of collaboration because it helps us to understand what our weaknesses are and how to strengthen them.

Dr. Sourav Basu is an educator and a trainer. He has been working in Bhutan since 2012. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Norbuling Rigter College (NRC), Paro, Bhutan. Prior to this, he worked as a Lecturer at the Royal Thimphu College (RTC), Bhutan for several years and as a guest lecturer of Management modules at the colleges of Techno-India group in India for few years. He was educated at the West Bengal University of Technology (India), RKDF University (India) and the University of Western Australia (Australia). His teaching interests include General Management, Human Resource Management and Marketing Management. To connect theory to practice, Dr. Basu is passionate about research and has published several papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored two academic book titled: “Management Theory and Practice” & “Organizational Behaviour and Culture” as well.

Outside the confines of teaching, Dr. Basu has resourced symposia on “Leadership & Management” organized by the Department of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Royal Government of Bhutan, and continues to be engaged as a guest-trainer for several management and leadership training programmes for the Institute for Excellence and Development (i-ED) & Institute for Learning Solutions (ILS) in Bhutan. He is actively engaged in hosting academic events, programme development and delivery, building industry-academia relationships and enhancing academic mobility.
As a believer in continuous professional development, Dr. Basu has conducted numerous professional capacity enhancement trainings for school/university educators as well as for industry professionals in India, Bhutan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Nigeria. He has received the title of “World Icon of Peace” from World Institute for Peace in Lagos, Nigeria, for his contribution to promoting Peace Education in Africa. He is also a recipient of the prestigious “100 Most Dedicated Professors” award from World Education Congress for his valuable contribution to the field of education around the world for more than a decade. Recently, Dr. Basu has bagged the title of “Asia's Best Researcher Award of the Year in Management” under the category of “Asia's Best Researcher Award” powered by World Research Congress for his outstanding research works and international publications in the field of Management.

Dr.Tshering Phuntsho, currently works as a Senior Lecturer and a Programme Leader of BCom for both regular and Part Time Education (PTE). He carries more than ten years of teaching experience having worked in various schools in Bhutan.
As a part of his MBA Degree, he worked as a consultant of Bhutan Telecom and developed a marketing strategy. In 2022, he also completed PgCert in Education from Samtse College of Education.

Dr. Aaditya Pradhan

Dr. Aaditya Pradhan has a Master degree in Business Administration in Finance and Human Resources from Sikkim University. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree BBA (Finance) from the same University. He has completed his Ph.D degree on “Performance Evaluation of Banking in Bhutan using Balanced Scorecard” from Department of Management, Sikkim University.
After completing his Masters degree, Dr. Aaditya worked as a visiting faculty in the Department of Management at Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University, Sikkim. He has also worked as a part-time teaching faculty at Accelerator Academy, Vision Academy and Smart Academy, Sikkim, India.

Mr. Jamtsho holds a B.Com Degree major in Finance, followed by Master Degree in Business Administration major in Finance from Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan under the RGoB Scholarship.
As a part of Master program, he worked as a consultant for Construction Development Corporation Limited (CDCL). He designed a Training Need Assessment Model for the Corporation.
Jamtsho has rich and diverse experience of working in corporate and private sectors for several years. Right after his graduation, he underwent training on Capacity Building in Agriculture in Israel under Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. He was also working as an Assistant Accountant in a private tour agent. Before he joined Norbuling Rigter College he was working as a freelance cultural tour guide.

Ms. Dawa Yangdon completed her Masters Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance from Gedu College of Business Studies. Dawa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from North Bengal University, India.
Right after her Masters Dawa worked as an Associate Lecturer in Gedu College of Business Studies. She also taught marketing majors (Sales Management and Consumer Behavior), Finance major (Banking Concepts) and Management modules (Business Environment and Growth and Change in Business) in the Business Department at the Royal Thimphu College from 2018 to June 2019.
Dawa joined NRC from July 2019. With her experience of teaching in tertiary education, she will be able to contribute to the learning of the students and progress of the college.
