He began his professional career in school administration, serving as a Student Service Officer at Jigme Sherubling Central School for three years and later as a Store Manager at Nangkor Higher Secondary School for two years.
Since 2022, Mr Chencho Dorji has served as an Associate Lecturer at Norbuling Rigter College, an affiliate of the Royal University of Bhutan. He teaches a range of courses across accounting, finance, and selected management modules.
Beyond teaching, he contributes actively to academic and student development initiatives. He served as the sole advisor to the College Games and Sports Club and continues to support its coordination. He currently serves as Advisor to the College Democracy Club. He also coordinates and supervises third-year research projects in Accounting and Finance, guiding students in research methodology, analytical reasoning, and academic writing.
