Norbuling Rigter College (NRC) organises the annual Rigter Essay Contest for high school students of Classes XI and XII. The contest aims to promote a strong culture of reading, critical thinking, and writing among young learners, and to nurture their ability to express ideas clearly and thoughtfully.
Launched in 2019, the competition has become a meaningful academic platform for students to engage with contemporary issues and showcase their writing talent. The results are announced on 1 November each year, in celebration of the Coronation Day of His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan, giving the event both educational and national significance.
